SOET FORCEPS 2022

Objectives: To inform the newly admitted students about each and every detail of the university and providing them the opportunity to meet different faculties of the School of Engineering and Technology.

Abstract of proceedings:

The Freshers Orientation Cum Engagement Program @SOET 2022 at Adamas University 25th and 26th August 2022 began with the welcome of the students, their parents, faculty members, who graced the occasion with their presence. The first day commenced with a Welcome Note by Ms. Soodipa Chakraborty wherein she presented the 2 days’ session plan of the school.

Associate Dean, Dr. Sujoy Bhattacharya introduced the students and the parents to the school and how SOET presents a fascinating life ahead for the young minds.He mentioned about the vast array of courses that they can enrol, and talked about the exciting activities awaiting their participation.

As the school set out on the incredible journey to support the new age Engineers, the succeeding session by Mr. Nisarga Chand was designed to introduce the school, its mission and vision and work culture to the audience. Mr. Atanu Roychowdhury, Founder, Gapcrud, made the students take a taste of the new age technologies with his very captivating session on “Emerging technology megatrends that every engineer should know about”. The HODs introduced their respective Departments and then the students moved into their school to take part in the exciting activities which included Ice Breaking Sessions by Dr. Prasun Dutta and Mr. Subhankar Santra, Design Thinking Session by Dr. Sajal Saha, Quiz by Mr. Jeet Banerjee. Students were offered to attend several sessions like the Session on Canvas by Dr. Sreya Ghosh to make them aware of the teaching learning process at the School of Engineering & Technology. Sessions on Mentor Mentee System by Ms. Riya Sil was conducted to offer ease of acclimatization with the new environment. The students also participated in the session on “Entrepreneur in YOU” by Ms. Soodipa Chakraborty which further motivated the students to pursue their dreams of having their own ventures and be a job creator for the society. The session on branding by Mr. Nisarga Chand and his team uncovered the details about building reputation, creating our image for the outside world and marketing ourselves as an individual.
